Children of the Legion

49 Weeks is a blog that accounts the experiences of former Precandidates of the Regnum Christi Movement, a women’s branch of the Legionaries of Christ. Many of them suffered real mental, emotional and spiritual damage in their years at Immaculate Conception Academy, and still to this day.

The former women of the Regnum Christi shared their stories on 49 Weeks to warn parents of the very real dangers of handing their daughters over to this flawed institution. What they saw when their daughters came home for a week at Christmas and two weeks in the summer was not what happens the other 49 weeks of the year.

In this section, you will find testimonies, stories, anecdotes, pain and inspiration of children of the Regnum Christi.

  1. These stories are so painful to read. I was in the precancidacy for boys in Cheshire Connecticit. Everything I’m reading here is the same. Everything was God’s will. I have so much hurt. When will the pain go away.
