Maciel’s Son Raul Gonzalez Sues The Legion and Describes Sexual Abuse By His Father
One of Fr Maciel's Sons Launches Lawsuit Against Legion
Jason Berry has written a new article in the National Catholic Reporter that provides details regarding his allegations that the Legionaries of Christ facilitated the sexual abuse that he endured from his Father – Marcial Maciel. The lawsuit against the Legion is being filed in Connecticut.

The details of Raul’s abuse are very disturbing. Raul’s mother, was 22 years old when Raul was born (Father Maciel was 60 at the time). Raul stated that his father, whom he knew as Raul Rivas, a Shell Oil Detective tried to initiate a sexual relationship with him when he was only seven years old. Although Raul Junior resisted his father on that occasion, later abuse continued throughout his childhood and adolescence.
